This Privacy Policy explains how HOORAIN TEXTILES LTD handles information in connection with the Hoorain Textile Design Android application, distributed under the package name uk.co.hoorainfinish.fabric.textile.line.hoorainx.
The application is a local-only textile setup and specification builder. It allows a user to configure one coherent Textile Setup Pack, autosaves progress on the device, reopens and edits saved packs, and exports or shares locally produced outputs when the user chooses to do so. The core workflow runs on the device itself and does not depend on a company account or a company server.
Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to the Hoorain Textile Design application for Android and to correspondence you send to the company about it. It describes what the application stores on your device, what leaves your device and when, and the choices you have over that content.
The application is operated by HOORAIN TEXTILES LTD, referred to in this policy as the company. Company and contact details appear at the end of this document.
Stored on Your Device
The application keeps the content you create inside its own storage area on your Android device. This is local app content rather than information held by the company, and the company does not receive it as part of the ordinary use of the application.
Local content created through the application includes the following:
Separately from the content above, the application keeps the preferences you set for its local behaviour, such as theme, text and export format choices.
- Textile Setup Pack drafts and saved packs
- Autosaved work in progress
Local Content and Information Held by the Company
The application does not require personal identity information to carry out its core workflow. You are not asked to register, and no profile of you is built on a company system.
A Textile Setup Pack is whatever you type into it. If you choose to enter names, contact details, customer references or other identifying information into a pack, that content may amount to personal information. It nevertheless remains local app content on your device and is not automatically transmitted to the company when you save, reopen or edit a pack.
Content leaves your device only in the situations described in the following sections, and only because you have chosen to export, share, copy or send it.
If you write to the company by email, the company receives your email address and whatever your message contains. That is direct correspondence and is separate from the pack data held in the application.
Some actions in the application open another application on your device rather than sending anything to the company. These include opening a website in a browser, composing a message in an email client, opening a place in a maps application, and using the Android share sheet. Each of these occurs only when you select it.
Those external services are operated by other providers and handle information under their own privacy practices. A maps application shows a place you have chosen to look up, and it opens only as a result of that choice.
Important Use Notice
Outputs generated in the application are based on the details you enter and are intended as planning and setup materials only. They are a practical aid for organising a textile specification and nothing more.
They are not technical certification, compliance approval, or a guarantee of production performance, and they are not legal, financial, insurance or regulatory advice. Where a decision carries commercial, safety or compliance consequences, you should rely on the appropriate qualified professional judgement rather than on the application output alone.
Security
Local app content stays within the application's own storage on the device and is not held on company servers. Because the content lives on your device, protecting the device itself — for example with the screen lock you configure and the accounts you trust with it — remains with you.
Files you export or share are likewise your responsibility once they leave the application, including any copies placed in shared folders, messaging applications or email.
Your Rights in the UK and EEA
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, which can include access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, and restriction of processing. Whether a particular right applies depends on the circumstances and on whether personal data is being processed by the company.
In practice, the information you create in this application is held on your own device rather than by the company, and not automatically transmitted to the company. You can usually manage or remove that local content directly on the device, or by uninstalling the application. If you have contacted the company by email, you may raise a question about that correspondence using the contact details below.
Age Requirement
The application is intended for users aged 13 and above. It is not directed to children under 13, and the company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such information is identified, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it or otherwise address the situation.
